Newer gear, from Juniper's EX2300, EX3400 and SRX300 to Ubiquiti's UniFi switches and EdgeRouters and MikroTik's hEX, RB4011 and CRS switches. About half have 10G SFP+ ports, and several are fanless. Many still get software. Juniper supports the EX2300 until September 2031, and Ubiquiti and MikroTik were still publishing firmware for these models in 2025 and 2026. A used one should take the latest release, so ask what it runs and update it before you use it.
