The EX2300 is the entry-level Juniper access switch that came after the EX2200, and the 24P is the version with PoE+ on all 24 copper ports. Juniper lists Junos 15.1X53-D50 as its first release. The big step up is the uplinks. You get four SFP+ ports at 10G instead of the EX2200's four 1G SFPs, and they double as stacking ports for up to four switches. The PoE budget is 370 W from one built-in supply, plenty for a few access points and cameras on a lab bench. It runs the same Junos as Juniper's routers and SRX firewalls, so it's a practical switch for JNCIA study. Routing is licensed, with OSPF behind an EFL or a Flex Advanced license. If you want silence, the fanless 12-port EX2300-C is the sibling to look at. Juniper took its last orders in September 2026 and supports it until 2031.
